American Audio & Video, the consumer electronics division of American Music & Sound located in Plattsburgh, New York, is excited to announce the launch of the new Fatman RED-I tube amplifier with high performance loudspeaker package.

Fatman by TL Audio® decided to produce premium consumer products in early 2006. Driving Fatman is almost 20 years of experience and dedication to the professional side of the music industry creating recording equipment and tube consoles. Fatman began designing and manufacturing products for consumer’s so they can enjoy the same sonic clarity at home as professionals do in the studio.

The Fatman RED-I bridges three distinct technologies involving tubes as pre-amplifiers, high quality solid-state amplification and an onboard iPod dock all contained into a single chassis. The pre-amp tubes are able to relax and clean the otherwise brittle and metallic digital sound prior to being passed onto the amplifier. By offering an iPod dock on board the Fatman RED-I is completely compatible with today’s most popular media server, the Ipod. The RED-I is also certified to work with all current and past models of the iPod. Also, the new Fatman RED-I will be “Works with iPhone” certified, to ensure complete compatibility with all docking Apple products.

“With only weeks away from the release of the iPhone, the Fatman RED-I will be one of the first docking stations to be certified in the “Works with iPhone” program directly from Apple” says Mark Baranowski, Marketing Coordinator for American Audio & Video. “This stringent certification process ensures the device will not be affected by any interference from phone calls or data transfers when docked on the unit.”

Delivering 25 watts per channel the Fatman Red-I is a powerful device yet comes in a small one piece form factor. Packaged with acoustically matched speakers that are high in efficiency and wide in frequency response the Fatman RED-I is a complete high performance package. These speakers were designed and engineered in tandem with a premium North American engineering firm. The Fatman RED-I is the latest edition to the line up which features red accents and highlights on both the main amplifier unit and also on the included speakers. The Fatman Red-I also features more inputs then ever before. Since not all consumers will be connecting an iPod to the machine, four inputs are found on the RED-I (iPod dock included) to accommodate any desired source from a CD player to any MP3 player on the market.

The Fatman Red-I will be shipping to account at the end of June and will be on shelves first week of July. The Fatman Red-I will retail for $599.99USD.
